Statement of Faith

WE BELIEVE in one sovereign God, eternally existing in three persons: the everlasting Father, His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, and the Holy Spirit, the giver of life; and we believe that God created the Heavens and the earth out of nothing by His spoken word, and for His own glory. (Matt 3:16-17)

WE BELIEVE that God has revealed Himself and His truth in the created order, in the Scriptures, and supremely in Jesus Christ; and that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writing, so that they are fully trustworthy and of supreme and final authority in all they say. (II Tim 3:16)

WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, was fully God and fully man, existing in one person and who lived a life without sin; and we believe in His death and in His resurrection three days later, in His ascension into heaven, and that He is now seated at the right hand of God the Father as Lord of all, High Priest, and Advocate. (Mt. 1:21-23, 3:17, 28:7, Jn. 12:37, Acts 1:9-11, Heb 4:15)

WE BELIEVE that we have all sinned by rebelling against God’s revealed will and thereby incurred both physical and spiritual death. (Rom 5:12,23)

WE BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, triumphing over all evil; and that all who believe in Him are justified by His shed blood and forgiven of all their sins.(Rom. 3:23, Acts 4:12)

WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is the Way, Truth, and Life and is the only means of salvation. (John 14:6)

WE BELIEVE that all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are justified and receive forgiveness and new life and thereby become children of God and are enabled to offer spiritual worship acceptable to God. (I John 4:9, Rom 3:28)

WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit indwells and gives life to believers, enables them to understand the Scriptures, empowers them for godly living, and equips them for service and witness.(I Cor 12:4-7, I Peter 4:10, I Cor 13 - 14:12) 

WE BELIEVE that the one, holy, universal Church is the body of Christ and is composed of the communities of Christ’s people. The task of Christ’s people in this world is to testify to the world of God’s love and redemption through Jesus Christ, and to build up the community of faith to full maturity of worship and service; all for the ultimate purpose to bring full honor and glory to God throughout the world.
